SpletCanine Leishmaniasis (CanL) or Leish is a vector-borne disease caused by the Leishmania Infantum protozoan parasite and is transmitted by female Phlebotomine sand flies. It is treatable, but not curable, but it is not life shortening. Correctly monitored and treated Leish dogs have a good quality of life.
