WebSep 4, 2024 · It's not the direct fault of the remaster. Ff8 remastered is based off of the 2013 steam Port, which in turn is based off of the 2000 physical disc PC Port by eidos. The 2000 disc version lacked any cheats whatsoever, so it's not a result of the remastering process nor is it for optimization's sake regarding the new cheats. It's just laziness.
